When it comes to Confidence, Size Does Matter
In my coaching practice I meet with a lot of people who suffer from issues of self confidence and negative perspectives. While it’s true that there are many ways to increase confidence levels, such as performing at great levels of achievement, and educational training in books and manuals, it’s clear to me the best and fastest way to grow the size of your id is to feed it as much positive energy as humanly possible.
I know this from personal experience.
I live in Los Angeles where we spend an inordinate amount of time in our cars. Between traffic, stress, and other life demands, I have the choice to listen to the nasty and depressing claptrap that floods the radio waves, or to feed my same subconscious mind with inspiring fuel.
Whether you’re old school and still listen to records and tapes, MP3s, or even podcast, or you stream, it doesn’t matter. The amount of positive motivational content in which to immerse yourself is quite literally limitless!
I often plug into my Youtube channels Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Joe Vitale, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Dr. Barbara De Angelis, Dr. Willie Jolley, Vince Lombardi, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Grant Cardone, Mark Victor Hansen, Dr. Jack Canfield, Oprah, and a list of more than 100 other thought leaders who constantly expand my mind with inspiration, motivation, and change.
When I’m in the garden, tinkering in the garage, on a run with my dog, at the gym, or even in the shower, I’m constantly listening to smart and powerful content.
Kody Bateman, author of the book Promptings reminds us, “The stories of your mind become the stories of your life.” In other words, crap in — crap out — Gold in — gold out. It’s as simple as that!
So I meet, work with, and watch people question why the quality of their lives is so poor? The answer is quite obvious to me. You’re not feeding your consciousness the right diet.
Flood yourself with positive input. Books, audios, videos that inspire and enhance lectures, trainings, and more and you’ll be absolutely amazed at how rapidly outstanding results manifest in your life.
It’s not that hard to get a big head filled with ego when others artificially inflate it, but it’s super easy to surround your brain with positive and inspiring content and grow your brain by heads and shoulders. And remember, when it comes to confidence and self esteem, size does matter.
