You’ll Be Dead A Longtime. Live NOW!

The headline says it all. Yet, if you seriously considered how many people live in fear, hesitation, apprehension, limitation, constipation, aggravation, and too many more “tions” to list, your mind would be blown! Just ask people about their dreams, their aspirations, their goals, and their fantasies and you’ll quickly find out the kind of life most, YES MOST humans live.

I routinely inquire to new acquaintances as well as old mates, “What are you dreaming about?”

And quite honestly, it’s pathetic. And I very well may be talking to you.

Are you living out loud?

Are you bigger today in your expectations and creations than you were a week, a month, a year, or a decade ago?

Are you expressing your most inner desires?

Are you manifesting the reason you were put on this earth?

Are you kicking your fears in the Can’ts?

In most cases the answer is N+O=NO!

Aint that a sad state of affairs?

You have but one life. You have but one short period of time to breathe air in your lungs, laugh like an idiot, and love like there’s no tomorrow. And yet, the song by Freddie Fender comes to mind. It’s called “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights.” Only in this case, it’s “Wasted Years and Wasted lives.”

Am I being a Dougie-Downer?

Good!

Get off your bum and start living!

“I want to do voice over.”

OK, then do it.

“But I need an agent and a new demo real, and I need new headshots, and a new website, and a new pair of shoes, and a vet appointment for my pet tarantula–and–and…

And then you’re dead!

“I want to be a professional singer.”

THEN SING, Dam It!

“I’ll get around to it.”

By the time you get around to it your voice will change, your register will alter, and your potential to flood the world with your notes will ring hollow like the promises you made yourself to do it in the first place. And then you’ll be long buried and forgotten.

And BOOM, you’re life is over.

“I want to have the physique/figure I’ve never had.”

You should. You’d look amazing.

“But…” finish the sentence. I know you have something that will fill the space.

What people all too often either don’t get, or grotesquely misinterpret is that God didn’t put you on this earth to do things later. He put you here to do with the gifts He gave you RIGHT NOW and while you’re here.

Life goes by in a blink and during that blink you have to squeeze in every belt of laughter; every achievement of grandeur; and every Moment of Zen there is to grasp before your final gasp.

But try to break through the miasma of despair and excuses that vomit from mouths on every street corner and you’ll find futility. When in reality, it is so easy to live the life of your dreams and fulfill your covenant with God.

ONE: Drop the expectations and attitudes and simply be open to the opportunities that present themselves. Seize the moment and step into your gifts. Stop living in fear and start living like your life depended on it, because… guess what? It does.

TWO: Quit complaining. I used to complain about money. I didn’t know it until my coach #CraigNisker said “You complain about money a lot!”

“I do” I asked?

“Yes, in almost every conversation. Stop complaining and transform your relationship with money.”

I stopped complaining about money and now I have a much different romance with abundance.

THREE: Speak about your intentions and dreams. If you don’t tell people about them, they probably won’t happen. 1) You need others to help churn the pot and get the stew to a frothy thickness. By yourself, you’re just holding water, but with others helping to manifest your goals there’s more momentum and more creation behind your mission. 2) The more you talk about it the more you speak it into existence. You literally have to breathe it into your dreams as though they were hot air balloons. Use your own hot air to inflate yourself.

FOUR: See it as reality. When I ask clients to close their eyes and describe their future in visual and literal terms, many times they cannot see anything. It’s not real for them. It’s not in their nervous system and in their imaginations. Experts like Dr. Jack Canfield Co-Creator of Chicken Soup for The Soul tells us that the more visual and visceral you make the intention, the subconscious mind goes to work to make it real.

You have to imagine, visualize, and then take action on your life every day.

The more you do these things, the more you practice, build, imagine and manifest your life, the easier it becomes to make it real.

Why every day? Because there are only so many days in a lifetime and you don’t have enough of them to waste. You’ll be dead a longtime. Live now!
